Who this policy applies to
This policy explains how GM Tuition handles personal information provided through this website, including enquiries about tutoring and payment requests for lessons.
Information collected
The site may collect your name, email address, phone number, subject, level of study, preferred lesson format, availability, location, goals, and any message you choose to send. If a payment request is created, records may include the student name, student email, lesson details, amount due, payment status, and Stripe payment identifiers.
How information is used
Information is used to respond to enquiries, arrange tutoring, manage lesson payments, keep basic business records, and maintain the security and reliability of the website. It is not sold to third parties.
Services used
Website enquiry and payment records are stored using Supabase. Enquiry emails may be sent using Resend. Card payments are handled by Stripe; card details are entered on Stripe-controlled payment pages and are not stored by this website. Google Analytics is used to collect website usage information so the site can be monitored and improved.
Lawful basis and retention
Personal information is processed where necessary to respond to your request, provide tutoring services, take payment, meet legal obligations, and operate the website. Enquiry and payment records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for administration, accounting, legal, and service purposes.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the use of your personal information where those rights apply. You can make a privacy request using the enquiry form on this website. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Children and students
Tutoring enquiries may relate to school-age students. Parents or carers should make enquiries on behalf of younger students where appropriate, and should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through the website.
